FAMILY TIME

In July we celebrate the family with Black Family Month, Family Reunion Month, Family Golf Month, Make a Difference to Children Month, Purposeful Parenting Month, Parents Day, Father-Daughter Take a Walk Together Day, National Father-in-Law Day, Aunt and Uncle Day, and Cousins Day. This month along with the Fourth of July celebration and the days listed above, we’ve identified over 70 observances for you and your family to enjoy, including Nelson Mandela Day, Buffalo Soldiers Day, Social Wellness Month, Cheer Up the Lonely Day, and Picnic Month.

In July we greet the heat, demonstrate outdoor culinary skills, savor cool eats, favor the fresh air, and observe National Air Conditioning Appreciation Days, National Grilling Month, Ice Cream Month, National Parks and Recreation Month, Clean Beaches Week, International Reggae Day, Fried Chicken Day, Chicken Wing Day, Chicken & Waffles Day, Strawberry Sundae Day, Slurpee Day, Give Something Away Day, and don’t forget about your family’s birthdays, anniversaries, and other special celebrations.

If you’re looking for something creative, different, and fun to do with the family this month, and want to spend more time together, check out our selected list of observances below. Turning these observances into great family time is easy. On days that celebrate foods, incorporate them into your family meal, show the kids how it’s made. On dates with activities, incorporate them into your daily routine. On all other days have a discussion, do some research, discover something new about the day.
